The article copied below appeared in  Global Proxy Watch, a private weekly newsletter covering international corporate governance developments which is published by Newsmarkets LLC and edited by Stephen M. Davis.

Dr. Davis' report refers to controversies which arose in response to Pfizer's June 2007 announcement that it would be inviting major investors to meet with members of its board.

Note: Pfizer has been represented on the Forum Advisory Panel that defined principles for shared management and investor interests in compensation practices, including the exchange of information needed by decision-makers.  Dr. Davis has been preparing research papers relating to that Forum program's project addressing advisory voting and to the broader applications of its shareholder communication processes.
